Our Story

Firstly, a huge thank you for taking your time to visit our website and a big congratulations if you're a newly engaged couple planning your special day. We're Helen & Rachel - sisters, the best of friends, and founders of Alexander Wedding Belles and we're delighted you might be considering us for creating your dream Bridal look for one of the most important days in your life.

Here at Alexander Wedding Belles, we're so proud to be recognised as one of the top wedding suppliers in the East of England, winning The 2025 Wedding Industry Awards, Wedding Hairstylist of the year, building on receiving the Highly Commended Award in 2024 and being a finalist in 2023, highlighting our continued development and quality of service to our Brides, meaning you can feel reassured you'll get the very best in both technical skills and client care along your wedding journey with us.

The Customer Experience that we provide to our Brides' is as important to us as the final product of our artistic work, as we understand the difference we can make to the lead up and smooth running of the wedding day itself. Having been part of hundreds of weddings over the years, and been Brides ourselves, we have lots of advice and tips we'll share with you, so you feel calmer and more prepared for your big day.

Helen Alexander-Watson

Director & Senior Hair & Makeup Artist

Hi, I'm Helen and I can't wait to meet you and hear all about your wedding plans. I absolutely love the privilege of getting a Bride ready for her wedding day, because of the creativity it offers combined with the feeling you're really making a difference to one of the most special days in a person's life. Whenever I can be of help on the day, I will, so it's not uncommon for me to be pinning button holes, drying bouquet stems or having the huge honour of doing up the Bride's wedding dress.

Rachel Alexander-Dyson

Director & Senior Hair & Makeup Artist

Hi, I'm Rachel and I'm very excited about meeting all our new Brides and their bridal parties! Ever since I was younger, I have loved weddings and I now feel so blessed to be able to work in such a magical industry. Helen and I are always so thankful to be be apart of our Brides big day and it’s a role we take incredibly seriously. We pride ourselves on investing in our continued hair styling and make up education alongside trying out the latest premium products so we can give our brides the best offering and experience.

Our Broader Team of Artists

With an ever-growing Bridal clientele, we've needed to expand too, and from many years working in the wedding industry, we've been lucky enough to meet and work with some very talented individuals who are like minded and share our same creative style, kit staples and warm energy as we do. So if you have a very large Bridal party who'd all like their hair and makeup styling by us, we can book additional hair and makeup artists, who'll be part of your Bridal Team on the wedding day in order to get through all the services you require in plenty of time.

Helen trained and worked as part of Holly Edmonds Bridal artistry team 2022-2024)
