OUR RESPONSIBILITY

We will do our absolute utmost to honour the Agreement with our clients. If a team member is unwell, delayed or unavailable, sometimes at short notice, we will let you know as soon as possible and arrange a suitable replacement from our team or trusted network of highly skilled hair & makeup artists. If in very exceptional circumstances, we cannot honour the Agreement, we reserve the right to offer compensation, depending on the individual scenario, which we will discuss openly with you.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Please tell us or the team member providing your service about any medical conditions, allergies or sensitivities before services begin. We cannot be liable for a condition or reaction, where you have not told us about a known condition, or about a condition unknown to you at the time. We may cancel the Agreement if behaviour is inappropriate or a reported condition presents a health or safety risk. In these cases, payments already made are non-refundable within 3 months of the wedding date.

 

Please confirm the getting-ready address, entry time, ceremony location and travel time between locations so we can create an accurate schedule. Please also share each person’s time slot with your bridal party and anyone receiving services to ensure a stress-free wedding morning that runs to time.

PAYMENTS & SECURING YOUR BOOKING

• A non-refundable deposit of £100 secures your wedding date, lead Hair &/or Makeup artist and any additional team members shown in your invoice.

• Trial services are paid before at the trial appointment (usually the week leading up to - a Paylink will be provided via email/WhatsApp.

• The remaining service balance and additional costs, such as travel expense contribution, are due 2 months before the wedding date.

• Payment is accepted by cash, bank transfer or online invoice payment.

ADDITIONAL COSTS

• Travel contribution: 0.50p per mile for the round trip from your lead stylist’s home address to your wedding-morning getting-ready location.

• Additional Hair & Makeup Artists: £75 per additional team member for locations up to 1 hour away, or £100 per additional team member for locations up to 2 hours away.

• Dual location set-up: £50 for additional set-up and pack-up time, plus additional mileage at 0.50p per mile.

• Overnight stays: If the venue is more than 2 hours from the lead stylist’s home, and/or the schedule requires the team to leave before 5am, we will add a stay-over fee to cover overnight accommodation & subsistence the evening before, so your allocated stylist(s) can arrive on time and rested to provide a luxury service.

MINIMUM SPEND & SERVICE COUNTS

For one lead H/MUA, the wedding-day minimum is £500 in hair and/or makeup services. This excludes trials, travel and extras. Each additional H/MUA must have a minimum of 3 adult hair or makeup services. If fewer services are booked, we will add the difference needed to reach the equivalent of the minimum.

 

CHANGES TO WEDDING-DAY REQUIREMENTS

We will always try to accommodate additional services requested after your initial booking is confirmed, however these are subject to availability and not guaranteed. They may require an earlier start, an additional team member and extra costs (extended team member management fee plus their travel cost).

 

You have until 3 months before the wedding date to amend the no. of services on your wedding booking invoice. If you choose to reduce the number of wedding-day services within 3 months of the wedding date, we unfortunately will not be able to provide a refund for the cancelled hair and/or makeup service(s).

CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING

We understand that certain circumstances are completely out of your control meaning you may be unavailable to attend an appointment at fairly short notice, but ask that you try to provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a trial. We will do our best to offer another date and time, but a rescheduled weekend trial is not guaranteed to have weekend availability for a future date.

 

If you cancel your whole wedding booking with us...

• Earlier than 3 months before the wedding date - we retain the deposit (which is non-refundable) and any monies paid for trial services.

• Within 3 months of the wedding date, we retain the full invoice amount for loss of earnings. Unless this is due to an urgent wedding postponement - see section below:

WEDDING-DATE POSTPONEMENT

If unforeseen circumstances outside your control mean you must change or postpone the wedding within 3 months of the original date, we will hold your balance payment for the new wedding-day services. We will try to meet your new requirements but cannot guarantee team availability, and your team may change to accommodate the new date.

 

If the lead stylist changes after your trial, we can offer a consultation with the new lead stylist (45 mins by video call or in person at our studio), with the original trial knowledge, pictures and videos transferred. A second trial is charged at the standard trial price. If the new date is more than 12 months after the original, we reserve the right to issue a new quotation based on new prices if our pricing structure has changed.

SERVICES & PRODUCTS

Our hair and makeup services are ‘complete’ services for a professional finish. We do not offer reduced rates for partial services such as “just eye makeup” or styling only sections of hair. Products included in a service - such as complementary false eyelashes, the Bride’s top-up lipstick and hair padding for certain styles - do not reduce the price if declined.

BRIDAL TRIALS

Trials are available to Brides at the additional price shown on your quotation and are recommended to help achieve your desired look. They usually take place at our in-home Bridal studio in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. We will try to accommodate another location, such as your home, with additional travel charged at 50p per mile round trip from your lead stylist’s home address. The time allocated to Bridal trials (Hair & makeup 3.5-4 hrs, and just hair or makeup, 1.5-2 hrs), aims to create a single hair and makeup style plus tweaks. We may be able to accommodate a second option if one style can be seamlessly created from the prep of the first look, however this isn’t guaranteed, and we may recommend a 2nd trial appointment if the styles are too different, and timings do not allow for overrunning. A second trial after the clients’ decision to change the hair & or makeup style, is charged at the standard trial price.

 

WEDDING-DAY TIMINGS

Once we understand your wedding-morning details, we will tell you if the schedule does not allow enough time and work with you on a plan that protects the quality of our work. This may mean adding a team member (subject to availability and relevant costs) or using a dual set-up: starting at one location, then moving to the final getting-ready location. A dual set-up costs £50 plus additional travel at 0.50p per mile for the extra mileage.

 

PRIVACY & PHOTOGRAPHY

We do not share your personal details with third parties. We use your contact details only for your booking or relevant post-event requests, such as reviews and professional imagery, which you may decline. Photos or videos of you, your Party, trials or the Event taken by our team belong to Alexander Wedding Belles, but we will not use them in our marketing material or social media if you or your bridal party request that you do not wish to be featured in this way.
